Report from Taketa; Oka Castle and Hirose Shrine

When I went to Taketa (september 8th), I also visited Oka Castle and Hirose Shrine, in Japanese “Oka Jou” and “Hirose Jinja”. Both were very impressive and beautiful.

A little park where I met the lady that spoke forever, and whom I didn’t understand AT ALL

Finally at Oka jou; the view was amazing, and I have LOTS of pictures of the view…

Tree urchins! (Wordplay with “sea urchins”… it’s actually chestnuts)

I actually just realized that I only video taped the shrine… guess I’ll HAVE to go back to Taketa to snatch some. Oh well, I’ll get a chance to go to the onsen (hot spring) and meet the nice man with the old house and Claudia, the German from the tourist information; oh yeah, and see the remaining shrines here and there ^^

Over and out for now!
