So, today’s first job was (continuing) preparing flower beds; freesia. Nothing very exciting to tell, other than that while taking a break, we spotted a snake. This was perhaps a little bigger than the one I saw last time, but I didn’t get a good look at it because it hid itself. I snapped a few pictures, but they weren’t very good.
During my lunch break, I went to the playground again. I spoke a little with a man who’d lived in Australia for a year. We had a good chat; he was easy to talk to and even better – easy to understand! While speaking with him, I really felt proficient in Japanese (althought I’m really not), haha. He gave me some advice on when I go on to the rest of tha country; that not everyone outthere are nice people, and that some may try to trick me. He was very kind, and I liked speaking with him. Unfortunately, I had to go because my lunch break was about to be over, and I had to return home.
When I came home, the family was waiting; we were gonna take a picture of me with the family. Of course, they didn’t turn out very good, ‘cause I’m not photogenic, and my hair’s getting long. Soon time for a hair cut (I do that myself).
It’s soon been three weeks. It’s a little strange to think about; time really flies (even though you don’t always have fun). Moving on on Thursday; wonder how I’ll manage, especially how I will find places to stay at night! Well, as my Japanese keeps improving (or at least, I like to make myself believe so), it should be alright. Besides, I still have my tablet (Archos 5 Internet Tablet) with a dictionary, plus I have my Lonely Planet Japanese Language pocket book, so I should be fine… right?
Alright, on to the pictures!
First, I’d like to show off the lovely boots I borrowed for planting freesia; they were a liiiittle too big.
Job: prick holes in the plastic, and yup, we had to prick a hole for each mask. I turned into a machine after a while…
The SNAKE! I have no idea which kind it was though.
A very pretty (and quite big) butterfly. I actually took this picture during one of the first days; haven’t been able to snatch one since.
Well, that’s all for this day! (And yes, I purposedly left out picture of the family; both for my own, yours and the family’s sake).
