So, the other day, I was watching TV with Norika (the oldest of the girls here, 16 y.o.), and we watched some of a movie called “Biohazard”. I’d heard about it from the radio, about the premiere and a new 3D-technology, but honestly didn’t know what it was.
While watching the beginning though, a frame with a book called “Racoon City *something*” lay on a table, and I thought I’d heard it before… later in the movie, there was a door with a sign saying “Umbrella (Coorporation, or something)”… “yeah, this definitely rings a bell…” and finally, when I saw dead people, I knew what it was: Resident Evil. So, they changed the name, huh.
Honestly, I wasn’t too impressed. Now, let me add that I didn’t watch all of it, but what I watched wasn’t really to my taste, and I’ll tell you why.
In the game, the main character (who’s name I’ve forgotten… “Jill?") is an ORDINARY person without any EXTRAORDINARY abilities; then why the heck can she suddenly take a 10 meter drop and land on somewhat straightened legs?! And when did we ever see her leap 5 metres into the air?! NEVER, right?
I’ll admit though, that the giant programmed zombie guy, the one who always walks around saying “STAAARSSS”, was pretty nice. Oh well… I didn’t watch it to the end, but someday I may get the chance.
Alright, today was without much work. In the afternoon, we went barbequeing! I had so much fun with everyone, and I was as usual pretty popular, being a foreigner with blue eyes, blond, curly hair and a larger-than-the-average-Japanese nose. The two women present got a liiiitle drunk, I believe; nevertheless, it was still extremely funny, and I had a good time and a good chat. They want to come homestaying with me, and they also wanted to send their children on a homestay with me in Denmark ^^
On to les piqteurs (no, I don’t speak French… this was taken from my imagination, so don’t hang me up on anything… please!)
“Oh, you jump straight to the barbeque?” –No, but you really don’t wanna stick you hands into these to get the insides (kuri = chestnut). Trust me; I tried…
As obaa-chan had her yearly day off (lol; it’s really something like that!), we ate lunch here: “Sanchan ramen”. I recommend their chanpon! It’s really good! (Noodles and veggies in a nice soup).
At the BBQ-party. I got a present from the hosts (the same people I received a shodo-pen from). Really nice people, whom I really want to go visit again! The present was a pair of chopsticks!
What d’ya know! Danish bread! REAL Danish bread; not just like their Danish pastry (which I haven’t tried). This is FROM Denmark, with Danish text written on it. I thought that was a little funny. I told them how we usually eat it for breakfast. They thought it was “oishii~!” (delicious), but I couldn’t but think that it was actually just low-budget, very ordinary breakfast at home…
Won’t post more pictures right now, cos I’m really tired. Hope it won’t be raining tomorrow, as I’m going to a festival (matsuri), which I’m reaaaally looking forward to!
Oh yeah, I was reminded tonight of why I don’t particularly like cats… they’re unrelieable! One moment you’re petting it, and the next it’s got your teeth and claws buried in your hand. I HATE THOSE THINGS! You can’t even tell it not to do it… yeah, I’m definitely a dog person! Which reminds me I miss Nala… and Luka and Laika… and Bissen, the nosey Punto and odd May (odd because she licks everything/anyone/everyone; btw, these last three are my horses, for those of you who don’t know).
Well, I’ll cut it here so I’m fresh for tomorrow’s festival!
