Yeah, so today really has been pretty quiet. For some reason I’ve been tired all day, so I didn’t even take my lunch break or evening bike ride.
Started today’s work with planting cabbage, broccoli and spring onion. In the afternoon we picked peemen. Nothing exciting, really.
I forgot to mention that I’ve now seen most of the regular cast from DownTown Gaki no Tsukai Ya Arahende’s Batsu Games (punishment games) which I LOVE.
The cast consists of Hamada Masatoshi, Matsumoto Hidetoshi, Endo Shouzo, Tanaka Naoki and finally Yamazaki… I forgot his last name –__- Anyways, I (sadly) haven’t seen Yamazaki yet (and he’s even my favourite), but then again, he’s always bullied by the others for not appearing very often on TV, because he’s mainly known from his radio show.
- This probably isn’t very interesting to you, but it SHOULD be! The Batsu Games are the greatest! Wanna know what it is? –If so, read on!
These 5 guys usually start out with some kind of battle to see who’s gonna attend the batsu game. Whoever is decided to be in the batsu game - may that be decided by buckets falling on your head, who can stand the most rounds in a spinning chair or who wins a bowling match – will be in the game.
The game will most often have a theme at a destination; a hospital, a police station, a newspaper agency, high school or hotel, or the special 24-hour tag game (I don’t remember more off the top of my head), they are put through a lot of extremely funny things, and here’s where the punishments come in; they’re not allowed to laugh. If they do, they are punished in some way, either by getting kicked by a muay thai fighter, shot with blow darts or slapped with a stick or whip. Of course, the crew does everything they can to make them laugh; they also sometimes set up traps to try and make each other laugh.
The game typically lasts for 24 hours, and at the end it’s counted who got the most punishments. It’s often Matsumoto who runs with the victory. I think he got shot with blow darts about 120 times, but I’m not sure.
Anyways, if you thought it sounded the least bit interesting, look them up on Youtube!
Anyways, I think it’ll be good to get a little out on my own; I’ll admit I can see myself getting tired of this (even though I told obaa-chan as late as today, that I wouldn’t get tired of being here… oh well, anything to make little obaa-chan happy ^^).
I think tomorrow will be a get-up-early-and-pick-peemen-day, and I’m pretty tired, so I’ll go to bed so I can have my lunchtime walk/ride.
